What differentiates us?

Female pioneers

LKA was born with the aim to raise the profile of female accountants and to change the perception of SME accountants to be seen as trusted business partners nurturing long term professional relationships with our clients.

Our largely female team is close knit, professionally high-achieving, positive, and hugely knowledgeable about small business and private individual tax advice. Founded in 2012 by Laura Kenyon, the company has grown rapidly to where we are now with 18 permanent staff and over 800 clients.

LKA is unique in that we are one of just 43 entirely female-founded firms out of an estimated 40,275 accountancy firms in the UK that have achieved over £1m in turnover . (Source: Accountancy Daily)

Small but powerful

Our team may be small, but it is incredibly powerful, and we are anchored at the centre of our client journey.

Being small enables us to have real hands-on contact with all our clients and means we can be quick to react, provide advice and modify our service offerings in a constantly changing economic environment.

Our staff are professional, high calibre individuals from commercial backgrounds who work hard to build strong relationships with our clients.

A balanced approach

In today’s digital age we strive to balance technology and the human connection. Embracing technology offers our clients an efficient, cost-effective service but we know our clients appreciate the measures we have put in place to build strong working relationships.

All clients have a named point of contact, and we always encourage in person meetings. By getting to know our clients as people and focusing on the human and personal impacts of our advice, we can not only make practical suggestions to enhance their business dealings and profit margins, but that also have a positive impact on their personal lives.
